The Departure
Fields of sparrows
end in a twilight patch
Fallen tree’s ice
And a curved whisper
On the fringe of
night.
The chilled heart in
its sadness
Becomes whole once
more -
For the ice can
freeze up
The cracks in the
heart.
The space in that
time
Was beyond any rhyme.
The trees were too
bright
The crystals seemed
in flight.
The broken tree lying
Was a natural plea.

A night full
A tunnel
A light
A touch
A hand to clutch
All’s right.
The Fable
I want all my feeling
to be able
To transfer itself
like a fable
Then my purpose would

A pointed finger

The Watch
The chain fell
endlessly down,
The watch-strap
endlessly loose –
Drooping eyes of
sorrow on and an effervescent frown
On the face of the
cracked recluse.
The watch still told
the time, but begrudgingly so –
A look from the right
angle at the exact spot
Was the only way the
watch would show.
The watch had so many
experiences to be taught
It would have took
just one right look,
And all the wisdom in
the world would have been shook.
Hope
The first time my
heart did a happy dance
Was when you gave me
a second glance.
In a moment I was
happy and free-
A swimming pool of
hope you have given me.
Once drowning, now
not
And I’m thankful for
everything I’ve got.

Happiful tarmac of planes
stands to take me far away.
Stuck in the same place,
realizing I'm far away.
STUPID STUPID STUPID -
How could you take another's pain
onto the spinning dice
that is already your heart?
Broken and grating pleasure,
don't ever return.
I shudder at your very presence,
stumbling is all that can come from you.
Understanding laughter in my heart,
I struggle -
failing to see the purpose,
going off the handle.
Purpose firm purpose true,
how did I find you?
How, reaching?
Try.
Growing broken hands
golden from overuse
a protected heart;
wilderness seeking.
crunch, there goes the glue -
pulling me in,
its savage noise -
chewing gum.
A strange feeling as my vocabulary
flies from my throat,
driving home my greatness:
a fake truth spout.
quick happiness unfold,
like a bitter tent
dropping onto the sand.
I must give my iron hands away.
Into the arms of someone new
stumbling for days, months, years.
Peppermint breath
fuels my tears
Filling my ears with disjointed noise

pull up
outside of this forsaken place
However do I greet him?
Say my name?
Create something new.
a sculpture for a king.

The sun peered through the dense clouds to see it.
That thing hid in the glares of the covering storm.
A savage chuckle outlawed all my wit.
there goes all the warm.
That thing that hides in the glares of the covering storm
It stares with scarred-from-light eyes
Where has gone all the warm?
Everything below him lies
It Stares at me with Scarred-from light eyes,
"I am the Ice man, and you will feel my wrath"
Everything below him cold lies
I have taken the frozen path
I am the Ice man, and you will feel my Wrath
